Core3 are delighted to partner with a market-leading and growing business to recruit a Purchase Ledger Team Leader opportunity in Westbury, Wiltshire. £30-38,000 DOE. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

How you'll make an impact

As Purchase Ledger Team Leader, you'll lead a small but busy accounts payable team responsible for maintaining accurate ledgers across several group businesses. You'll be trusted to coach and develop the team, support the Finance Manager, and deliver accurate, timely reporting to senior stakeholders.

This is a varied and rewarding leadership role in a fast-paced environment where you'll help shape a positive team culture and improve operational efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Leading and overseeing the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger function


  • Acting as deputy to the Finance Manager on all purchase ledger matters


  • Managing and resolving escalated supplier and ledger queries


  • Ensuring deadlines are met and the month-end process runs smoothly


  • Supporting and developing your team through coaching, training, and regular 1:1s


  • Leading onboarding and training for new hires and supporting performance reviews


  • Producing regular reports and reconciliations including aged creditors, supplier statements, and duplicate invoice checks


  • Maintaining and improving processes across verification, reconciliations, and held invoice resolution


  • Collaborating with finance and operational colleagues to drive best practice


  • Supporting with ad-hoc finance tasks and projects as needed

  • Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems


  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work


  • Ability to lead, plan, delegate, and report effectively
