About The Role

Due to the continued expansion of the business and increasing demands, w e’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk who will thrive in a busy operational environment to join our Purchase Ledger team within our Account Department at Birchwood Park, Warrington.

In this fast-paced role as a Purchase Ledger you’ll manage a high volume of invoices daily, processing through Invoice Data Capture and Automatic Purchase Order Matching Systems.

You will also be responsible for;

  • Data Capture Verification
  • Processing Purchase Order matching exceptions
  • Supplier invoice query resolution using in-house intranet based system
  • Dealing with internal customer/supplier phone calls and email queries
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations

This is a fixed term cover role.

To succeed as a Purchase Ledger Clerk you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (at least 2 years in a high volume Purchase Ledger department)
  • PC Literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team player
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent administrative/organisational abilities
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Confident and possess excellent communication skills
