Our client is seeking an experienced *** Purchase Ledger Assistant *** to join their dynamic finance team located in Banbury. This is an exciting role where you you’ll be part of a friendly Cash and Banking Team for a brand marketing business with a presence in over 50 different countries, with multiple currencies worldwide.
Working in a team of 2 in the UK, the Purchase Ledger Assistant role involves a variety of transactional responsibilities, including Accounts Payable (AP), expenses, and payroll reconciliation etc.

Purchase Ledger Assistant - Key Responsibilities
- Weekly reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Producing and maintaining reports of cleared invoices for payment.
- Supporting weekly and monthly supplier payment runs.
- Assisting with monthly payroll and expenses payments.
- Posting journal entries and updating financial reports on a regular basis.
- Handling supplier and internal queries related to invoice payments.
- Assisting Management Accountants with audit queries.
- Providing ad-hoc finance support to the team when needed.
Candidate Requirements for the Purchase Ledger Assistant role:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a dedicated Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, AP, or similar role.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel… familiarity with SAP or D365 is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive and motivated to contribute to the wider team’s success.
- Hybrid working model: Office-based Tuesday to Thursday in Banbury, with Monday and Friday remote.
