Job Description
Due to a recent team change, we’re seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our team, focusing on major projects across the South District. Ideally based in or around central southern England (M4 Corridor), you’ll play a key role in delivering high-value engineering projects from start to finish.
About the Role:
Reporting to the UK Engineering Manager, with a strong responsibility and dotted line to the District Director, you’ll oversee the full scope of large-scale projects. This includes defining service requirements, managing customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You’ll also handle material, equipment, and resource planning to drive projects forward efficiently, all while meeting financial performance targets.

About the Role:

This includes defining service requirements, managing customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You’ll also handle material, equipment, and resource planning to drive projects forward efficiently, all while meeting financial performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prioritise, and manage end-to-end project delivery using Konecranes’ processes and tools.
- Assign and prioritise tasks within your team to optimise resources and meet deadlines.
- Serve as the single point of contact for customers, maintaining strong working relationships.
- Report monthly on project status, covering technical and financial aspects.
- Evaluate and authorise scope, budget, or timeline changes, actively managing risks and profitability.
- Lead complex engineering and delivery projects, identifying and resolving issues to keep projects on track.
- Manage relationships with external contractors to maintain quality standards and project timelines.
- Direct and develop your project team to ensure timely, on-budget completion in line with specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams (such as Design & Engineering) to secure resources and expertise for each project.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Degree/HND qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong background in engineering (mechanical or electrical).
- Ideally you'll have experieine within the crane or lifting industries
- Proven project management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Financial acumen and experience with IT tools (ERP/SAP).
- Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally nationwide, with overnight stays as needed.
