Your New Job
Working as part of the centralised Project Management Office (PMO), you will be responsible for managing the integration of new businesses to the Ipsum Group following a merger or acquisition. This role will ensure seamless operational, cultural, and technological integration while aligning with Ipsum’s strategic goals and objectives.
As part of the PMO, you will aspire to be:
- Supportive in how we deliver our services.
- Controlling in how we govern our projects, programmes and outward services.
- Become a guiding authority on the best methods for change management.
- And deliver the Ipsum Way of Service in all our Projects.
Principal Accountabilities:
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Plan and execute integration projects.
- Align stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Develop integration roadmaps and key deliverables.
Risk & Change Management
- Identify and mitigate integration risks.
- Ensure smooth adoption of new structures and processes.
- Communicate changes effectively across the organisation.
Resource Allocation
- Manage resources across multiple integration projects.
- Facilitate training and knowledge transfer.
Standardisation & Governance
- Implement integration frameworks and governance models.
- Ensure adherence to standardised processes.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Provide senior management with integration progress updates.
- Track and measure success using KPIs.
Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement
- Capture lessons learned for future M&A processes.
- Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
About You
Desirable Qualifications [& Professional Membership(s)]:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner/ APM Project Management Qualification (APM) or similar.
- Six Sigma Black Belt (beneficial).
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Knowledge & Experience:
- Experience in post-merger integration or business transformation.
- Familiarity with Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or similar.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects.
- Knowledge of change management principles.
- Utilities industry experience (preferred).
Skills & Personal Qualities:
- Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A thorough approach to tackling problems and the ability to work methodically.
- Time management and the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- A strong team player.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively at pace, make decisions in the face of competing priorities, and remain calm and resilient under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- A proactive approach and passion for continuous improvement, with an appetite to work with others to simplify processes and increase efficiency.
