In Eaton Electrical Sector products & services include systems that form total energy solutions including EV charging, Energy Storage, software, power distribution, industrial controls and power quality as well as life safety systems in Emergency Lighting, Fire and Security.

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager who is able to travel to our clients in and around London.

What You’ll Do

  • The Project Manager is responsible to the UK&I Project Team Manager for the delivery of assigned Projects within the parameters of Cost, Quality and Time in accordance with the contract in place and Eaton Code of Ethics.
  • The Project Manager must lead resolution of all Project challenges arising to achieve on time delivery to the contracted quality standards, enabling the achievement of the Eaton Profit Plan.
  • The Project Manager must take ownership of the end-to-end Project delivery relationship with Eaton’s most important clients - from handover through to final completion & cash collection.
  • The Project Manager is a positive advocate for the client within Eaton and will professionally represent Eaton at all times.
  • Managing Projects to within Eaton’s contracted scope of works, generating change orders and improving Project margins
  • Accurately forecasting and reporting revenue and resource requirements
  • Early identification, assessment, logging, and escalation of risk (commercial, technical, scope & schedule) and management of that risk throughout the Project delivery cycle.
  • Managing the Project technical aspects to meet the contract and client quality expectations: controlling scope creep, managing RFI’s, and obtaining client approval of drawings, RAMS and quality check/test documents, compiling ‘Snag Lists’ and managing snags to full resolution.
  • Managing the Project Timelines: for products, services, documentation, and quality to achieve on time completion.
  • Efficiently using all Eaton and supplier resources assigned to reduce costs while achieving on time completion.
  • Technical familiarity with the Eaton product range and the ability to leverage this knowledge with the client.
  • Continually searching for ways to improve the way we do business, to upgrade existing processes, deploy new initiatives, and recommend innovative solutions based on analysis and client trends


Qualifications

  • Good electrical engineering knowledge – bachelor’s degree or HND/C level qualification or equivalent in electrical engineering


Skills

  • Proven Project Management experience and skills
  • Formal certification desirable: PMP/CAPM Certification or Prince 2/equivalent
  • Good practical knowledge of MV switchgear, UPS systems, LV switchgear, transformers, BMS/SCADA systems, Energy Storage
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
  • Excellent skills in using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Strong leadership skills
  • SMSTS/SSSTS desirable
  • CSCS card desirable
  • Possess and maintain a valid UK driving license
  • Legally authorised to work in the UK and Ireland
