This is the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. NG Bailey, the UK’s leading independent engineering and services business, are proud to be part of the MEH Alliance, a joint venture to deliver the Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC installation for the project.
As part of recent growth on this project, we have a new vacancy for a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join us based in Bridgwater.

NG Bailey On The Hinkley Point C Project
We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.

As part of recent growth on this project, we have a new vacancy for a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join us based in Bridgwater.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Supporting the Area Lead to deliver the scope of work.
- Provide a weekly report on progress and update to programme.
- Review construction engineering deliverables as issued by the client and ensure the team are working to the latest issue.
- Construction method improvement plans.
- Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Ensure CWPs are delivered on time to ensure no delays to construction activities.
- Ensure all materials and tooling are delivered ready for construction activities
- Ensure CEMAR management as required to raise EWNs and support Cost Advice process.
- Ensure Configuration Control is maintained across the scope works information.
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- A relevant degree or HNC/above in a relevant discipline (Mechanical or Electrical) and/or substantial experience as a Project Engineer or similar role on large scale construction projects.
- Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated sectors (preferred).
- Professional accreditation (preferred).
- AutoCAD and Navis Works knowledge (desirable).
- Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract (desirable).
