The purpose of our Mechanical Project Engineer is to manage all aspects of engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion. The role is integral to the success of our manufacturing operations and involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

About The Role
The purpose of our Mechanical Project Engineer is to manage all aspects of engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion. The role is integral to the success of our manufacturing operations and involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
As Mechanical Project Engineer your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Design, communicate, and implement operational plans for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor progress, performance, and take necessary actions to resolve operational challenges and minimize delays.
- Develop engineering standards, designs, and work specifications while preparing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Estimate costs, resources, and time requirements; allocate resources and assign tasks accordingly.
- Liaise with other operational areas such as Production, Refinery, and technical departments to secure specialized resources.
- Select and manage external contractors to ensure seamless integration and high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet milestones.
To be successful in the role you need:
- At least 5 years of experience in a comparable project engineer role.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering.
- Understanding of manufacturing standards, procedures, and policies.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and logistics equipment used in manufacturing.
- Ability to safely operate, maintain, and optimize manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Experience with designing business cases and CAPEX projects.
