About The Role

The purpose of our Mechanical Project Engineer is to manage all aspects of engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion. The role is integral to the success of our manufacturing operations and involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

As Mechanical Project Engineer your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Design, communicate, and implement operational plans for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Monitor progress, performance, and take necessary actions to resolve operational challenges and minimize delays.
• Develop engineering standards, designs, and work specifications while preparing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Estimate costs, resources, and time requirements; allocate resources and assign tasks accordingly.
• Liaise with other operational areas such as Production, Refinery, and technical departments to secure specialized resources.
• Select and manage external contractors to ensure seamless integration and high-quality service delivery.
• Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet milestones.
  
  
  

About You

To be successful in the role you need:

• At least 5 years of experience in a comparable project engineer role.
• Background in Mechanical Engineering.
• Understanding of manufacturing standards, procedures, and policies.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and logistics equipment used in manufacturing.
• Ability to safely operate, maintain, and optimize manufacturing equipment.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Experience with designing business cases and CAPEX projects.
