The main purpose of the role is the execution and co-ordination of multi-discipline engineering projects associated with onshore fuel pipelines and associated facilities.
What You'll Be Doing
Planning and Project Management
- Provide project control from initial approval through to commissioning and handover.
- Ensure agreed staff-hours and cost targets are adhered to.
- Prepare project plans and programmes.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with BPA procedures to client satisfaction.
- Identify and manage design risks.
- Provide appropriate engineering designs in accordance with relevant company, client, national and international standards.
- Develop design and construction drawings.
- Conduct design reviews with project stakeholders.
- Prepare contract documentation for procurement of services and materials.
- Evaluate tenders and provide recommendations for contract award.
- Authorise invoices and monitor project spend.
- Manage on site construction contracts.
- Liaise with onsite staff to ensure health and safety targets are achieved.
- Assist in the preparation of commissioning plans.
- Maintain good client relationships.
- Adapt to changing priorities presented by client requirements.
- Ensure good engineering practices are maintained.
- Assist in the development of scopes of work and budgets.
- Operate to expected quality standards.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Graduate Engineer with BEng equivalent in relevant discipline.
- Minimum 1 years experience in engineering or consultancy.
- Knowledge in specified engineering discipline (preferable in the context of the design, project engineering and construction).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
- Can perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Proficient with desktop applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Basic Salary: £35,000 - £40,000, depending on skills and experience.
- Annual Bonus: Earn up to 12% of your salary based on company performance, with an additional 6% for standout performers.
- Generous Holiday Entitlement: 28 days (FTE) plus 8 bank holidays, with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
- Generous Pension Scheme: Our company contribution ranges from 6% to 12%, with a minimum employee contribution of just 2%.
