Abbott
Date: 1 week ago
City: Witney
Contract type: Part time
Grow you career and help shape the future of Diabetes Care technologies.
Abbott is about the power of health. For more than 135 years, Abbott has been helping people reach their potential — because better health allows people and communities to achieve more. With a diverse, global network serving customers in more than 160 countries, we create new solutions — across the spectrum of health, around the world, for all stages of life. Whether it’s next-generation diagnostics, life-changing devices, science-based nutrition, or novel reformulations, we are advancing some of the most innovative and revolutionary technologies in healthcare, helping people live their best lives through better health.
World Leader in Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the development and manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. The site has been instrumental in the research, development and manufacture of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System as well as exciting developments in the Libre family including FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3 and the Libre Sense system. We are passionate about doing work that improves the quality of people’s lives.
We currently have an opportunity for a Project Administrator to join our site expansion team, providing pivotal support to the ongoing activities around our growth as a facility, with a focus on new product introduction, design change projects, and space expansion programmes. In this role, you will support Project Managers and Teams in the administration, co-ordination, planning and control of key site projects from inception to delivery, including all stages of planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities and tasks, managing schedules, arranging assignments and generating metrics, and raising/progressing project documentation. Your interactions will be wide, and you will work with many teams across our business, including R&D, Engineering, and the wider Operations groups to track and communicate progress to all team members.
For this role, you will work with a team of Project and Programme Managers, so good communication and collaboration skills are essential. You’ll display good judgement, self-motivation and excellent organisational skills. You’ll have good interpersonal, oral and written skills and ability to relate to a wide variety of people. You’ll be able to work to agreed deadlines. Knowledge of Project Management tools such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word would be helpful but not a requirement. As a minimum, you will be educated to secondary level. This position would be perfect for graduates from college or individuals interested in getting a taste of project management and gaining some experience in the field
We’re looking for someone who is excited at the thought of joining a team at the forefront of Diabetes Care innovation, and working in a fantastic modern and innovative environment.
In addition to a competitive salary, Abbott offers a highly attractive benefits package which includes a defined-contribution pension scheme, a share ownership scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, and a flexible benefits scheme which you can tailor to your own requirements. Of course, things are a little different right now, but in general, we like to help our employees live life to the fullest, and therefore we offer a range of optional initiatives for you to get involved in, including onsite allotments, couch to 5k campaigns, bee keeping, yoga and more!
Please note this is a part time opportunity of 30 hours a week.
