Defaqto brings data, technology and consumers together to help everyone make smarter financial decisions today and tomorrow. The business has been successful and Defaqto Software and Data is a key engine for organic growth within the Fintel Group.
To this end, we are inviting experienced programme management professionals to apply for this exciting new opportunity within our Programme and Product Management team.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong programme leadership skills and a proven track record in delivering complex, multi-stakeholder software and data solutions. With a customer-first mindset, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of programmes that ensure our clients achieve maximum value from our technology and services.
Reporting directly to the Chief Transformation Officer, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating delivery across our portfolio of multi-product SaaS and data solutions to enable transformation projects for our customers. Working closely with Product, Technology, Operations and Commercial teams across multiple product lines, you will ensure that client needs are met with high-quality, scalable and sustainable outcomes.
You will need to demonstrate experience in leading cross-functional delivery programmes, ideally within a SaaS or data-led business, with clear evidence of customer impact, measurable outcomes, and lessons learned.
This role will bridge the gap between waterfall style project management and agile delivery in our software development teams to bring clarity and confidence to projects. The role holder will act as the main point of contact for key customers during the delivery phases of our projects and lead on reporting both to internal and external stakeholders.
Areas of responsibility
Your initial primary focus will be to bring structure, governance and customer-centricity to our client delivery model, aligning internal teams and external stakeholders behind a clear programme plan.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of customer-facing programmes, ensuring successful outcomes for clients and the business.
- Establish and maintain robust governance, programme plans, risk registers and reporting mechanisms.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout programme delivery, ensuring excellent communication and customer satisfaction.
- Drive collaboration across Product, Technology, Data, Operations and Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor and report on programme progress, budget, risks and dependencies to senior stakeholders and the ExCo.
- Ensure lessons learned and best practices are embedded into future programmes to drive continuous improvement.
- Champion customer delivery excellence and help shape the future of our client delivery framework.
- Experience as a Programme Manager, Senior Project Manager or Delivery Lead within a SaaS, technology, or data-driven business.
- Demonstrable success in delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programmes on time and within budget.
- Strong customer engagement skills with proven success in building trusted relationships with clients.
- Experience of programme governance, risk management and reporting at executive level.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders including ExCo.
- A customer-first mindset with the ability to translate client needs into actionable delivery plans.
- Entrepreneurial and pragmatic approach – willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the detail when needed.
This is a home-based role but will require some level of face-to-face collaboration with the Development teams, key internal stakeholders and regular visits to customer sites.
Our Defaqto HQ is in Haddenham but we also have offices in London and so you can expect to travel to both locations, and other key sites including customer locations, as needed.
