NCW seeks a Programme Assistant to support the Programme Team in the ongoing development and delivery of its artistic programme. The role will have a particular focus on our NCW Academy programme but will also extend across multiple other areas. This administrative support role provides an ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in the arts and literature sector.


The successful applicant would be introduced to the workings of a high-profile arts organisation and will be supported to develop their administration and delivery skills within the literature and arts sectors. The adaptability, experience and team working that will be necessary to fulfil this role will enable the post holder to develop valuable skills and work with an exciting range of writers, educators, performers and partners.


Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Programmes, Programme Managers and Programme Officer in the delivery of agreed
  • programmes of work with specific responsibility for administration and support.
  • Take responsibility for the administrative support of the NCW Academy programme, including using our course delivery platform Teachable, monitoring the NCW Academy email account, and acting as contact point for students and teachers.
  • Establish and maintain productive and positive relationships with artists, audiences, students and partners.
  • Contribute creatively to the overall work of the Programme Team and maintain excellent relationships across the organisation.
  • Act as a first point of contact for the Programme Team over phone and email and direct all enquiries to the appropriate member of the team.
  • Maintain programme administration systems as required in consultation with the Head of Programmes.
  • Support the Programme Team in developing evaluative and data capture tools across a range of programmes and collate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data for reporting to management.
  • Effectively manage your own work programme, and work with colleagues, visitors and project partners in the achievement of the above.
  • Provide on-site support and writer liaison at evening and weekend events.
  • Carry out any other duties considered reasonable by the Head of Programmes.


Qualifications

  • At least two years workplace experience, preferably in the arts or wider cultural sector
  • Experience of working on multiple projects and managing a demanding workload
  • Experience of events administration
  • Excellent organisation and office administration skills
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office) including Outlook, Word and Excel skills


Salary: £23,400
