This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.

Job Purpose and Impact

To work as part of the manufacturing team to ensure the correct operation of the chocolate line and that all production is made within the manufacturing specifications within standard procedures & processes, employing Continuous Improvement techniques.

Key Accountabilities

45% To operation of pre refiners & refiners within production ensure refining specifications are met, employing standard procedures & processes, aligned to food safety, quality & environmental, health & safety standards, completing process parameter records accurately. Process checks to ensure compliance to all standards to be completed & recorded throughout process. A small amount of manual additions according to recipe specifications.

30% Ensure all cleaning duties are carried and operate a clean as you go policy aligned to good manufacturing process.

5% Participate in EHS and Food Safety activities on site (Audits, Safety Observations & reporting)

5% Report all maintenance issues to the maintenance management system

5% Comply with EHS, Hygiene, Food Safety and Allergen rules

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team & to take accountability for areas of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Safety mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • IT Literate
  • Basic Mathematics (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
  • Basic English (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
  • Proven use of CI tools

Other Relevant Information

  • Must have effective communication skills, be proactive, self-motivated, and flexible
  • Should also have good problem solving skills
  • Would be desirable to have experience within the food manufacturing environment
  • Shift role, including weekend & night shifts
