About the Job:
The Product Owner will take responsibility for a group of vehicles within the BYD range on sale in the UK, Ireland & Malta (European right-hand drive markets). They will ensure that products and specified and priced in line with market expectations, are launched effectively, that our network sales teams have all of the information required to sell the many benefits of our cars, customers have access to the right information at all stages of the customer journey, and that customer feedback is used to propose developments to models or changes in pricing that may be required.
Product Requirements & Development

They will ensure that products and specified and priced in line with market expectations, are launched effectively, that our network sales teams have all of the information required to sell the many benefits of our cars, customers have access to the right information at all stages of the customer journey, and that customer feedback is used to propose developments to models or changes in pricing that may be required.
Product Requirements & Development
- Gather, analyse, and document product requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritise product improvements.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable user stories using SCRUM methodology.
- Work with R&D teams to ensure the timely delivery of product requirements.
- Develop and maintain product documentation, including Market Product Specifications (MPCs).
- Ensure clear and effective communication of product features and updates to relevant teams.
- Contribute to the development and execution of go-to-market plans.
- Coordinate & support product launches and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Plan and coordinate product updates, facelifts, and enhancements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement changes effectively.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the BYD customer experience
- Implement strategies to improve the overall customer experience.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager, in alignment with business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- UK Motor industry experience is essential within an OEM environment
- Demonstrate a keen interest in and knowledge of passenger cars
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- High degree of accuracy in data handling and reporting.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
