About The Role

Role Purpose

As a Product Owner, you will help develop our merchant experience for our international marketplace business. This is an exciting time to join Fruugo as we continue our journey to become a leading marketplace for cross-border trade. Merchants are critical to our success, and the merchant experience programme you’ll be part of is central to our future goals and ambitions. You’ll be working at the intersection of users, business, and technology with plenty of scope for innovation and fresh thinking.

Experience Required

  • A minimum of 3 years in a similar Product Ownership role with experience in an e-commerce marketplace or B2B e-commerce.
  • Desirable is experience with merchant onboarding and the integration processes.
  • Knowledge of and preferably experience in objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Experience with communicating the needs of the business as outcomes.
  • Experience with user story mapping process and Opportunity Solution Trees.

Skills

  • A great communicator in all forms, it's a bonus if you can speak Mandarin.
  • A great facilitator, able to discover and understand stakeholders’ desired outcomes.
  • A detail-oriented problem-solver, using data and real feedback to inform.
  • Able to work independently, delivering on promises.
  • Great organisational skills, able to juggle multiple initiatives at once.
  • Able to engage with and hold your own in a discussion with technical engineering teams.
  • Brilliant at influencing all stakeholders to get the best results for Fruugo.
  • Proactive and self-sufficient with a keenness to drive the delivery of quality solutions.
  • Product Strategy: Help develop and articulate a clear product strategy driven by insights.
  • OKRs: Use objectives and key results to ensure the delivery of strategy and to create and maintain the structure for your teams.
  • Data Led: Put data front and centre in all you do and develop product KPIs to enable your team and the business to drive improvement, optimisation, and to be an integral part of your product strategy.
  • Continuous discovery: Conduct weekly customer interviews and research activities to continuously validate problems, test solutions, and inform product decisions.
  • Shared understanding: Using facilitated workshops to build shared knowledge across teams, stakeholders and engineering to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Agile Process: Be a facilitator and a cheerleader for the Agile process within your team.
  • Product Ownership: Follow the Scrum Guide’s description of the Scrum product owner role.
  • Product backlog: Use outcomes and values to create epics and stories.
