The procurement function provides proactive and effective support and information to stakeholders across Scottish Autism and beyond. To achieve this the postholder will actively promote a positive procurement culture across the organisation and act as a key member of the Business Services Team to support the development and delivery of Procurement best practice initiatives across all services.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will provide leadership, and operational management to the wider organisation, when necessary, to ensure Procurement best practice and compliance is embedded within the organisation.

About The Job
We have a Procurement Manager opportunity within our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will provide leadership, and operational management to the wider organisation, when necessary, to ensure Procurement best practice and compliance is embedded within the organisation.
In This Role You Will
- Be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the procurement process, ensuring that it achieves value for money and is in line with Scottish Autism’s defined Financial Regulations.
- Lead and influence through partnership, to ensure the correct levels of participation and collaboration to achieve the best value outcome when large one-off purchases are required.
- Identify, build and manage relationships through effective communication with all stakeholders, including third parties, and acting as the primary point of contact for Scottish Autism’s procurement process.
- Negotiate with suppliers to establish and, where appropriate, vary contracts, including changes to price, terms and conditions and service agreements
You will be:
- Reflective and open to learning and listening, with an ability to see the bigger picture in terms of systems and potential impacts.
- Able to challenge existing practices, translating ideas into actions and to lead initiatives.
- A good communicator and organiser, with the ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload within a constantly changing environment.

- A problem solver, taking ownership of problems to ensure resolution.
