As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehouse operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you’ll not only contribute to your team’s success but also to the daily operations and overall success of the warehouse and distribution centers. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for daily lunches and family celebrations. How you create impact

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for material flow within the Kuehne+Nagel contract.
  • Regularly review and update procedures and process flows to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets weekly to monitor project progress for both customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze performance data and trends to identify areas for operational improvement.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication with the customer, including addressing non-conformities and aligning daily workload planning with customer priorities.
  • Oversee compliance and operational standards, including MoD regulations, health and safety policies, and warehouse batch control systems.
  • Support staff development and training, monitor training needs, and assist with additional tasks as directed by the operations manager.

What we would like you to bring

  • 0–3 years of professional experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting performance data and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets and digital tools for tracking and reporting.
  • A minimum of 5 years of continuous residency in the UK is required to comply with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) security clearance process.
