THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support manufacturing and assembly processes in a high-precision aerospace/defence environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and validating production processes, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and supporting the integration of complex systems.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support manufacturing and assembly processes in a high-precision aerospace/defence environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and validating production processes, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and supporting the integration of complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee RF interconnectivity installations, including coaxial cables, waveguides, and fibre optics.
- Support structural assembly activities and ensure alignment with engineering specifications
- Assist with equipment and sub-assembly installation and integration.
- Oversee DC harness installation and connection, ensuring correct routing and compliance.
- Perform or support bonded item installations, including adhesive bonding processes.
- Support MLI (Multi-Layer Insulation) installation and thermal blanket applications.
- Manufacture and install thermal filler materials.
- Assist with test instrumentation setup and operation.
- Support laser tracking activities for alignment and verification of assemblies
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Manufacturing, Process, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience in aerospace/defence manufacturing processes, including assembly, harness work, and bonded items.
- Familiarity with RF interconnectivity (coaxial, waveguide, fibre optics) and related installation standards.
- Hands-on experience with MLI installation, thermal filler, and test instrumentation.
- Knowledge of laser tracking/alignment techniques.
- Strong organisational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with LEAN, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with digital work instruction systems (e.g., 3DX Delmia, Apriso MES).
- Understanding of quality standards and compliance requirements in aerospace/defence.
