A great opportunity has arisen for an innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join the Strip, Reclaim and Repair department. You will be at the forefront of developing innovative and efficient repair solutions for Small Gas Turbines.

Your role will involve analysing engine components, assessing damage, and implementing repairs to restore components to rebuild usability. You will collaborate with a multi-functional team to optimise repair processes and extend component life.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • See opportunities for new repairs and develop repair definitions to meet business and customer needs, returning service-run components to a serviceable condition using various manufacturing processes.
  • Define and maintain technical requirements for component repair processes, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Ensure all engineering, design, and specification requirements are accurately understood, accounted for, verified, and recorded when defining and implementing repair methods.
  • Define validation and verification requirements for repair definitions.
  • Create and develop SAP routings to control process flow.
  • Implement and apply LEAN principles to ensure a smooth process flow through the factory.


What You Bring

  • A relevant Mechanical Engineering degree, HNC, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • A strong knowledge of the functionality of relevant components and systems, considering their intended form, fit, and function.
  • Experience with repair processes, techniques, and material properties.
  • A problem-solving mentality, with a passion for creating technical solutions.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
