Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to take the lead on cutting-edge maritime projects?
TKMS ATLAS UK is looking for a Principal Electrical / Controls Engineer to drive the design and integration of electrical systems across our advanced sonar, submarine, and autonomous technology programmes.

What you'll be doing:
Leading the design and development of electrical systems for complex maritime products
Defining architectures, selecting components, and ensuring safety and EMC compliance
Producing and reviewing schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable assemblies
Supporting integration, testing, and commissioning activities
Conducting design reviews and maintaining documentation accuracy
Coaching and mentoring junior engineers to grow team capability
Collaborating with suppliers, customers, and multidisciplinary teams
What we're looking for:
Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
Strong knowledge of electrical system design, including power distribution and control systems
Experience with CAD tools and CE/UKCA directives
Familiarity with EMC, electrical safety, and industry standards
System-level integration and debugging experience
PLCs, motor control, or automation knowledge (desirable)
A strong communicator, problem solver, and team player with leadership skills
