Principal Commissioning Engineer Opportunities
As a Principal Commissioning Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We have opportunities for Principal Commissioning Engineers to work on a wide range of projects. You’ll lead commissioning teams working on high-integrity mechanical submarine systems, helping to ensure the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of our naval fleet.
What you’ll do:
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. Principal Commissioning Engineer Opportunities
As a Principal Commissioning Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We have opportunities for Principal Commissioning Engineers to work on a wide range of projects. You’ll lead commissioning teams working on high-integrity mechanical submarine systems, helping to ensure the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of our naval fleet.
What you’ll do:
- Leading and mentoring Commissioning Engineers across multiple complex projects
- Managing commissioning packages and ensuring high standards of delivery
- Preparing and authorising test documentation to meet project timelines
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work
- Collaborating with ship staff, Production teams, and Senior Engineers to resolve testing conflicts
- Proven experience in commissioning and maintaining mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of Control of Work processes and safety documentation
- Knowledge of nuclear safety cases and their relevance to commissioning
- Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering teams
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
