About the role
Balfour Beatty have a fantastic opportunity to join our Power T&D team as a PPE Controller based at our Maxim Office in Eurocentral, with travel across our sites
Balfour Beatty’s Power Transmission & Distribution teams work with regional, national and international electricity network owners and operators to provide technical engineering solutions and the Safety of our Team is key in everything we do.
You will oversee the specification, supply and examination of PPE, fall arrest equipment, tool tethering and associated items used within Power T&D.
What you'll be doing
Some other key areas will include: -
- Ensure PPE, Fall arrest equipment, tool tethering and associated items are available to the Power T&D business are fit for purpose and cost effective
- Carry out and document independent examinations of fall arrest equipment at both fixed and temporary BB locations
- Maintain examination status compliance for fall arrest equipment in a cost efficient manner
- Attend meetings with suppliers and other BB staff on the specification and supply of PPE and related products
- Take the lead on tool tethering and tool bag solutions for Power T&D
- Arrange trials and obtain feedback of alternative types of PPE and related items
- Working with BB Procurement and key suppliers, maintain up to date catalogues of PPE, tool tethering and associated items available to the Power T&D business
Who we're looking for
To join us in this role, you will have the following:
- Full clean driving license
- Experience of managing and planning own workload
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
We would like you to have:
- Qualified examiner of Fall Arrest Equipment
- Experience of Power T&D PPE, working methods and project safety rules
- BESC card
