The role:

The Power BI Analyst is a newly created role, reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence. This person will be responsible for consulting with key stakeholders, then designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to meet their requirements. This person will leverage their expertise in DAX, Power Query, and data visualization best practices to transform raw data into clear, actionable insights. As part of a small team of 2, this person will have a high level of visibility in the role and regular access to very senior stakeholders.


What you’ll do:

  • Design and develop interactive, visually compelling, and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Write efficient DAX calculations and measures to support business metrics and KPIs.
  • Use Power Query (M language) to ingest, transform, and cleanse data from various sources.
  • Apply strong data visualization and UX/UI design principles to ensure reports are clear, insightful, and easy to interpret.
  • Work with stakeholders right across the business (including Digital, Delivery, Finance, Product and Client Support) to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize report performance, usability, and consistency.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and proper documentation across all reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to deliver end-to-end BI solutions.
  • Support Power BI governance, data security, and workspace management.


What we’re looking for:

  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports in a professional environment.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX for creating complex calculations, KPIs, and time intelligence.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Query for data transformation and data modelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to create clean, effective, and well-structured reports with a strong eye for visual detail and report design.
  • Experience integrating data from various sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, Dataflows).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
