Reporting to: Head of Operational Planning


Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of depot operations? We’re looking for a Depot Planning Manager who can bring strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a collaborative mindset to our planning team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of our warehouse and transport operations. Your focus will be on optimising volume flow, improving service delivery, and driving cost efficiency across the depot network. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, ensuring that daily plans are delivered on time and aligned with broader objectives.

You’ll lead a team of planners, introduce new tools and processes, and use data-driven insights to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. From forecasting volume changes to managing peak periods and special events, your work will be critical to maintaining our service standards and operational performance.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel essential; Access/Database skills a plus)
  • Excel modelling experience; VBA desirable

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience developing processes across multiple sites/functions
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Familiarity with transport planning software and live systems
  • Knowledge of parcel delivery processes (preferred)

Technical & People Skills:

  • Strategic, technical, and operational expertise
  • Problem-solving and contingency planning abilities
  • Skilled in designing analytical tools and reports
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
