About The Role
As the Planned Maintenance Manager North, you’ll oversee the safe and
efficient delivery of a c£3m Annual Maintenance Programme across the M25
network. Your team will be responsible for maintaining the linear assets
(pavement, VRS, barriers and fences, signs and lines) within your
geographical area.
Leading a team of approximately 40 maintenance staff and overseeing the
work of subcontractors, you’ll promote a culture where everyone is committed
to doing their work in the right way, with public safety always at the forefront.
You’ll proactively mitigate risks, conduct regular depot/site inspections, and
manage the safe deployment of resources.
You’ll also support the Defect Team to ensure the timely completion of
repairs and work closely with the Roadspace/Scheduling Hub to keep the
Programme on track. Additionally, you’ll manage the planned maintenance
budget for your area, track progress, and identify opportunities to reduce
costs.
Your effective leadership and focus on continuous improvement will ensure
the M25 network remains safe, resilient and in top condition.

similar transferable experience
Appropriate CSCS qualification
SMSTS qualification
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Driving Performance And
productivity
Ability to adapt to and manage change, leading teams through
operational adjustments and ensuring smooth transitions

What you'll be doing
Maintenance Management
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of the annual maintenance
time and within budget.
- Ensure accurate data entry into the maintenance management
annual maintenance plan.
- Work closely with the Roadspace/Scheduling Hub to monitor
minimal changes and address issues as they arise.
- Identify opportunities for site sharing to enable efficient delivery of our
- Define clear work requirements for each maintenance site to manage
- Support the Reactive Maintenance Lead with the timely and efficient
works co-ordination opportunities.
- Continuously improve driver standards to meet key BB reporting
- Actively monitor vehicle utilisation and oversee the management of
availability.
- Support the Commercial team with supplier procurement and
effective maintenance supply chain.
- Ensure adequate supervision is in place for all works activities and
resources for these activities.
- Participate in on-call rotas for Silver Command and Winter
Safety And Compliance
- Lead the achievement of Zero Harm objectives, maintaining a safe
- Oversee the safe and compliant delivery of maintenance activities,
equipment.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational safety risks
- Conduct regular site and depot inspections, reporting on good
- Monitor the standard of briefings delivered by supervisors, ensuring
records of briefings are maintained.
