Contract type: Full time
Fancy dipping your toes in to something new?
Are you an organised, empathetic team player that enjoys working with people in a warm relaxing environment? Why not apply for a position in our small but lovely Hydrotherapy team?
We are looking for a band 3 Physiotherapy technician to work in the adult aquatic physiotherapy team at the hydrotherapy pool at Bristol Royal Infirmary. This is a 0.5 WTE, fixed term post covering a career break which ends October 2025.
The post holder will have ideally worked in a therapeutic environment with a background of clinical experience. The hydrotherapy pool is used by the musculoskeletal physiotherapy teams, treating acute and chronic conditions. Aquatic physiotherapy treatment is carried out in the pool so the successful candidate will need to be confident in water.
The physiotherapy technician will work alongside qualified physiotherapists, with patients on a one to one basis and in group formats, implementing specific and agreed treatment programmes planned by the qualified Physiotherapists. The post holder will need to be creative; adapting exercises, activities and games to promote improvements in function and achieve patient goals but also be able to identify when a patient needs to be reviewed by the Physiotherapist.
