We require a Personal Assistant to undertake secretarial and administrative duties supporting the General Manager and the Clinical Director. You will be based within the Surgical Directorate Office at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

We are looking for an experienced Personal Assistant who has worked to senior managers within a large organisation (preferably within the NHS).

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 particularly Word, Excel and Outlook is essential along with advanced keyboard skills. Minute taking is a part of this role therefore shorthand skills would be advantageous but not essential.

You must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as working independently and to work under pressure. There may be at times a requirement to work flexibly and be able to adapt readily to change. You must have good organisational skills.

A level of English language competency and excellent communication skills (both verbal & written) are necessary to perform the role safely and effectively.

Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager.
