City: Durham
Contract type: Full time

About The Role
Performance and Reporting Lead
Working hours Full time 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements including part time will be considered)
Permanent
Salary up to £54,850 per year (depending on experience)
Location hybrid working with office location at Pity Me, Durham
About The Role
Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) has a hugely exciting capital portfolio of more than £3.6Bn, investing in infrastructure that serves our community and protects our environment.
We’re looking for a passionate, capable and data/digital savvy collaborator who is excellent at written, verbal and data-led communication to develop and grow our Performance & Reporting team.
Your team will collate data from multiple sources to track & manage our £3.6Bn portfolio, build live & automated reporting, primarily in PowerBI, but where needed in Excel and also prepare clear reports & information for key stakeholders.
You will help the PMO (Portfolio Management Office) turn Data into Insights, supporting stakeholders to make the right decision in a timely way.
The data covers Costs, Schedule, Risk, Project outputs, estimates, commercial topics, regulatory reporting needs - in short a wide range of information, about a large number of projects.
You’ll find this opportunity exciting – to blend data from different systems, and updates from Project Managers, and form the clearest set of numbers, visuals and written reports so stakeholders get a simple message about a complex portfolio.
About You
If you have experience providing high-quality reporting information, based on a high volume of complex information to a wide range of stakeholders (which could be from a project, programme or PMO environment), we want to hear from you. You should have experience of shaping choices, and influencing key stakeholders.
This should include a strong understanding of data analysis, data representation, comfort with numbers/finances and written and oral presentation capability.
You will have experience of information management techniques and drawing conclusions from data to offer strategic recommendations in support of senior-level decision making.
You will have a track record of using PowerBI (or similar) reporting tools and project tools to ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality and experience in data transformation, manipulation, and visualisation to effectively communicate findings to a varied audience.
You will be keen to demonstrate stakeholder management skills and experience taking a lead role or accountability for a business-critical function, preferably developing colleagues to ensure high-quality team performance.
Your exact qualifications are less relevant than your experience and capability. Given the nature of this role, it is likely successful candidates will have a degree or higher level qualifications.
