People & Capability is HM Treasury’s people function and provides a range of services which support the department’s People Objectives.
The Workforce Planning and People Strategy team is a newly formed and friendly team of 8 which is responsible for the Treasury’s People Strategy, leads workforce planning for the department, and carries out analysis of our people data. The team works with colleagues across People & Capability, building strong relationships and taking a strategic, coordinating view. The team engages with colleagues and communities across the Treasury from our staff networks to senior leaders, a great way to add new connections to our professional networks.

The People Projects Delivery Manager is an integral role in delivering our People Strategy, engaging with the Treasury’s communities, and carrying out priority projects to make the department a great place to work.

You’ll be a great communicator, able to engage with a range of interested parties at different levels of seniority, taking into consideration diversity of interests.

About The Job
The People Projects Delivery Manager is an integral role in delivering our People Strategy, engaging with the Treasury’s communities, and carrying out priority projects to make the department a great place to work.
In this role, you will:
- Develop, maintain and roll out programme management processes for the People Strategy including risk management and progress tracking. Manage the project initiation process and transition process to integrate projects into business-as-usual. Keep an overview of the activity and data across the HR function, supporting the leadership team to prioritise.
- Plan for and track engagement with our communities from staff networks to champions. Collaborate with the team support officer to ensure that meeting agendas cover the right topics in line with priorities. Develop ways for colleagues to consistently feedback on our products and processes, including creating a protocol for consultation with the department.
- Lead priority projects that deliver results to towards the goals of our People Strategy. Collaborate with colleagues across our HR function, bringing together expertise with project management skills to carry out impactful activity. Ensure the projects are data driven and evidence lead at all stages from design to evaluation.
- Coordinate an overview of communications from People & Capability, building relationships across the function and ensuring communication products are appropriately prioritised, and represent People & Capability at strategic level meetings.
- Integrate Gender Pay Gap good practice & actions into People Strategy planning, delivering some actions, and lead future work on pay gaps for other protected characteristics.
- Provide a range of additional support including: writing Equality Impact Assessments on change projects; supporting People & Capability to effectively evaluate projects and use this data in planning; and delivering continuous improvement for the HR function.
