Location: Newcastle

Salary: £100 - £120 per day (Depending on Experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Daily Supply, Long Term

As a PE Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students’ development and encouraging their love for sports and fitness.

About The Role

As a PE Cover Supervisor, you will supervise PE lessons and activities in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and motivated. You will have the chance to lead and inspire students, encouraging participation and fostering teamwork. The school is known for its excellent facilities, supportive staff, and commitment to creating a positive learning environment for students and staff alike.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage PE lessons, ensuring students stay on task.
• Encourage student participation in physical activities and promote healthy living.
• Support the development of students’ confidence, teamwork, and discipline through sports.
• Uphold the school’s policies and ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining sports equipment and facilities.
  
  

Requirements

• A passion for sports and physical education.
• Experience working with children or young people (experience as a PE Cover Supervisor is a bonus).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• The ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain discipline.
• A flexible and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
