Payroll Specialist - France
easyJet
Date: 12 hours ago
City: Luton
Contract type: Full time

Charles De Gaulle
What You'll Be Doing
As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll manage accurate and timely payroll for a dedicated group of colleagues across easyJet’s network, ensuring compliance with local laws, collective agreements, and company policies. You’ll work closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors, handling end-to-end payroll processing, data validation, reconciliations, and employee queries while contributing to process improvements and maintaining strong internal controls. You’ll support audits, help implement system changes, and occasionally assist other countries in our European network to maintain consistent practices. For France, you’ll ensure full compliance with French payroll legislation, manage relationships with stakeholders, and handle statutory payments and reporting, bringing strong knowledge of tax, social security, and collective labour agreements. Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and proactive approach will help deliver a seamless, professional payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
What You Need To Do The Role
To excel in this role, you’ll need solid experience managing the end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring everything runs smoothly, accurately, and in line with local regulations and deadlines. You’ll be detail-focused, risk-aware, and comfortable maintaining strong controls and audit readiness, while building trusted relationships with colleagues across HR, Finance, vendors, and the wider business. You’ll bring analytical skills to spot and resolve payroll issues, and be confident using systems like Workday, Excel, SharePoint, and ticketing tools. You’ll take ownership for delivering high-quality work on time, work well in a collaborative team environment, and thrive in a fast-paced, complex European business. Professionalism, empathy, and discretion are essential when dealing with sensitive information. Fluency in English and the local language of your assigned country is crucial, as is the ability to explain payroll matters clearly to a range of audiences. Experience in the airline or retail sectors, exposure to international payrolls, or formal payroll qualifications would be a bonus. Personally, you’ll be organised, proactive, solutions-focused, and adaptable, with a positive approach to change and a genuine team spirit.
What We Offer In Return
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 35 hours per week. Hybrid working with 3 days in the office.
