About the role
In this Partnership Development role you will;
- Identify and secure new partnership deals with brands worldwide, supporting the Head of Partnership Development to deliver on the club’s ambitious sales strategy.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing, ensuring sales targets are not just met, but exceeded.
- Build and nurture trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partner agencies and key decision makers.
- Create and present high-quality, bespoke proposals that resonate with potential commercial partners, identifying a key differentiator that makes our club so compelling.
- Represent Newcastle United at national and international conferences, industry events, and match days, building connections that drive our commercial success.
- Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of live conversations, leveraging CRM systems and data insights to maximise every opportunity. With a focus on outreach activity, securing both new and follow up meetings with a responsibility on detailed regular reporting.
- Collaborate with legal and partnership marketing teams to ensure seamless deal execution and handover.
Your impact
- Extensive experience in B2B sales, ideally within partnership or sponsorship roles.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing complex deal cycles across multiple categories.
- Established network of local, national and international brands.
- Exceptional negotiation, networking, and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in a professional sporting environment is desirable.
- Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience; recognised sales training is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
About the team
You will work for our Head of Partnership Development and closely with our Senior Partnership Development Lead as well as the wider Partnership and Commercial team.
Location
This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with an expectation of working 3 days per week from the office. Please note, if you are not located in the North East and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
