About The Role
Role: Part-Time Water Treatment Technician
Location: Helston, Cornwall
Salary: £27,348 to £32,515 pro-rata dependent on experience
Role Type: Permanent Contract, Part-Time, 22.5 hours per week (days to be confirmed)

About The Role
As our site-based Water Treatment Technician, you'll be a key member of our front-line operations team here in Cornwall (view our operational area here). You'll be responsible for ensuring the site and its assets are maintained efficiently while delivering a great service to our customers. This is a site-specific role at a Sewage Treatment Works, meaning you'll primarily operate on the Culdrose site, handling planned and reactive maintenance across this busy wastewater site. This is an ideal role for a water industry-experienced individual who is seeking to reduce their weekly working hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining wastewater assets specific to the Culdrose Sewage Treatment Works in compliance with environmental permits
- Providing reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance
- Recording real-time data using portable IT equipment
- Conducting meter readings and collecting/entering reporting data at the Sewage Treatment Works
- Maintain the site to expected Ancala Water Services Site Standards
- Wastewater industry experience or knowledge within a similar role is highly desirable
- Industrial maintenance experience is crucial
- Good IT skills with experience of different software packages and mobile devices
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and outdoor environments in all weather conditions
Given the nature of our sites, successful candidates must:
- Obtain Security Clearance, including a Criminal Record Check and full MoD Security Application, including full-time residency in the UK for the past five years
