To provide essential support to our in-house Legal team in the management of Civil Access Injunction matters. Our Paralegal will also work closely with the Legal team to ensure efficient and effective case management of general housing management legal files.   

We operate a hybrid model of working with two days in our modern air conditioned offices (free parking) in High Wycombe, Bucks and 3 days home or remote. This ensures a balance of colleague interaction and reduced commute.

About the Role/team

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our friendly and knowledgeable in-house Legal team and play a key role in supporting the efficient management of housing related legal matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in civil litigation and housing law to develop their career in a fast paced, purpose driven organisation. You’ll work closely with our in-house legal team, supporting a wide range of cases and helping to ensure our services are delivered with professionalism and integrity.

Regular access to a vehicle is necessary as there will be some additional travel when required to attend court business mileage will be reimbursed at the prevailing rate of 45p per mile less home to work commute in line with our policy.

 What you’ll be doing (under the supervision of qualified lawyers):

  • Managing your own caseload of civil litigation matters, including access injunctions, disrepair, and housing management cases.

  • Drafting legal documents such as claim forms, pleadings, witness statements, and court bundles.

  • Conducting legal research, liaising with courts, and preparing disclosure materials.

  • Providing administrative support to the Legal team, including file maintenance, invoicing, and correspondence.

  • Supporting internal stakeholders with legal queries and contributing to training and knowledge sharing.

  • Assisting with financial record-keeping and legal spend tracking.

What We’re Looking For

Must haves:

  • A degree in Law (OR equivalent), with an LPC, BPC, OR CILEX qualification preferred.

  • Experience managing a caseload in a legal environment, ideally within social housing, private practice, or local authority.

  • Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and legal processes.

  • Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.

  • Proficiency in legal databases and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to use legal databases and MS Office suite.
