We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Paint Technician to join our busy team. The role involves preparing and spraying large commercial vehicles to an exceptional standard. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for producing high-quality paint finishes on a variety of commercial vehicles, ensuring durability and long-lasting results.

What You Will Do
As a Commercial Vehicle Paint Sprayer at Volvo Truck and Bus, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the aesthetic and protective quality of our commercial vehicles. You will be responsible for preparing, priming, and painting vehicles to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality and customer satisfaction that Volvo is known for.
Responsibilities
- Perform surface preparation, masking, priming, and painting of commercial vehicles.
- Mix and match paint to ensure colour accuracy and consistency.
- Inspect and identify defects in painted surfaces, making necessary corrections.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Is this you?
- You will possess a City & Guilds or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Paint Sprayer or similar role.
- Have experience within HGV or PSV coach building
- Solid understanding of painting techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to match colours and achieve desired finishes.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a workshop environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
