National Grid
Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Warwick
Contract type: Contractor
About The Role
National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is at the heart of energy in the UK. The electricity we provide gets the nation to work, powers schools and brings energy to life. Our energy network connects the nation, so it is essential that it is continually evolving, advancing, and improving. We’re passionate about both operating our network safely and providing highly reliable quality of supply for our customers. At the heart of achieving these outcomes is the effective control and operation of our network.
As OT Data Integration Analyst, you’ll support the maintenance of systems for NGET’s Operational Technology (OT) Environments. You’ll work with NGET’s Asset managers and IT administrators to maintain OT’s systems and data components within the environment. Designing and managing the integrations across platforms such as SQL, M365, to ensure optimal system and data integrity within the environment.
You’ll assist in the maintenance and enhancement of web interfaces to ensure user-friendly access and functionality, collaborating with cross-functional teams, to support the design and documentation of data flows between OT applications.
Developing and maintaining best practices, documentation, and institutional knowledge around data integrations, you’ll own the scaling of the data integration function, melding product, technology, process, and organisational improvements to serve customers more effectively and efficiently.
In addition, you will oversee and ensure the accuracy, security, and scalability of data pipelines, implementing process improvements and automation where possible.
This role is based at our office in Warwick for 2 days per week and can be combined with hybrid working from home. There may also be the occasional requirement for you to travel to one of our sites throughout England and Wales. This role is offered as a fixed term contract until 31st March 2026, with the possibility of extending.
What You'll Need
With an IT background, you’ll have experience in systems integration maintaining Microsoft systems, databases or similar business application management.
You’ll also have hands on experience with SQL, as well as experience in data integration, data analysis, data engineering, or a related field.
Proficient with M365 tools including Excel, SharePoint and Power Bi, you’ll have strong written and presentation skills, and be able to communicate status, integrations, and usage to different audiences and stakeholders.
A critical thinker with an analytical mind-set and adept at evaluating opportunities to reach goals, whilst addressing requirements from operational spaces, an awareness of Operational technology (OT), or industrial control systems (ICS), would be advantageous.
Knowledge of electrical power systems and their operational requirements would also be an advantage, but not essential.
What's in it for you?
A salary of up to £48,400 - £60,000 + Benefits package + Training and Development.
This role closes at midnight on 29th October 2025, however we encourage candidates to submit their application as early as possible and not wait until the published closing date as this can vary.
At National Grid, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace for everyone. You might just be the right person for our growing business in this role or another one.
