Job Description

Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for an Operations Technician to join the Production Test Function. The Production Test function will test, fault find and identify the repair to be undertaken on a range of products to meet our customer commitments in terms of quality and timescales. It ensures that the units under test have passed all the parameters as laid down in the Product Test Schedule before releasing. This includes in process test and inspection activities as well as the final release of products.

As Operations Technician you will be a technical and skilled individual providing support to others and contributing through application of technical expertise and knowledge gained through experience in clearly defined operations environments and formalised job-related training.

This role requires a high attention to detail and somebody who has experience of interpreting and reviewing controlled documentation.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to define problems verbally and in writing

Desirable Experience and Education:

  • Electronics background with 1-3 years of experience and an associated qualification
  • Experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Automated Testing and Fault Finding experience
  • Lean Manufacturing awareness

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions in accordance with UK National Law and be prepared to successfully undertake an appropriate level of UK National Security Vetting according to UK Government National Security Vetting criteria.
