We are looking for a Operation Manager to be based at our Derby Site (DE65 6BE) , but will be required to travel to our Erith, Basingstoke and Leeds sites at least once a quarter.
We are seeking an operation Manager to ensure the Warehouse Processes & Warehouse (WMS) processes are completed in line with customer expectations. . To ensure a culture of Continuous Improvement customer requests, changes are communicated and actioned.
This a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of £ 46058.38 (depending on experience).
The working schedule is predominantly a Monday – Friday working 07:00 to 16:00 (9hr shifts) with some level of flexibility. Benefits:

Operations
- As directed, ensure WMS processing is completed correctly at all locations. ASN receiving is processed in a timely manor and GI processing is completed in line with customer SLA.
- Ensure goods are being handled (picked) in accordance with standard work instructions at all locations with quarterly checks (audits)
- Regular meetings with key colleagues at each location is key to success in this role.
- Implementation for Warehouse projects with budgetary responsibility and support for new or current implementation projects .
- Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to the team and, when relevant, line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity.
- Contributions and updates for the regular customer reviews should be provided in order to promote a collaborative approach for contract management
- ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including ER procedures, such as absence and performance management, standards of behaviour, disciplinary, PDR etc, supporting with investigations and disciplinary hearings as necessary.
- Ensure consistent 5S compliance – Sort, Straighten, Sanitise, Standardise, Sustain, Support and contribute to the YES program and implement the Warehouse improvements and/or action plan as required.
- Deliver the ongoing Yusen H&S programme through daily monitoring, application and delivery of the H&S policy, SSOW and internal and external compliance.
- Participating in H&S monitoring, reviewing processes and ensuring employees are trained. Communication of H&S matters to the team. Manage workplace safety continuously.
- Previous supervisory experience / leading a team. Previous warehouse experience is an advantage.
- MHE licence an advantage but not essential.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. –
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages and e-mail.
- Ability to prioritise workload, effectively managing multiple tasks. Ability to work as part of a team, to deadlines and prioritise.
