We’re looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Operations and Finance Manager to join our passionate team at Bury VCFA. As a key member of our leadership group, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of our charity, ensuring our operations run smoothly and our finances are strong, transparent, and sustainable.

Reporting to the Chief Officer, you will be part of our small senior management team. You will manage our finance and grants teams, motivating and fostering good working relationships to support cross-team working in the design and planning of grants processes. You’ll also play a key role in our operational management, ensuring the smooth running of our Bury-based offices and a safe and welcoming base for our staff and tenants.
You'll be an analytical, detail-oriented person able to manage the smooth running of our operations and finance functions. You’ll have strong decision-making skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff and trustees, partner organisations and users of our services. You will have a sound understanding of legal responsibilities and regulations required to maintain a safe environment for our team, tenants, and users, as well as good problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues quickly as they arise. You will be proficient in financial software (specifically QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office packages and be able to respond flexibly to the changing demands of the business.
