Operations Admin Team Lead

Duties

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Admin Team Lead within our Widnes team with specific responsibility for supporting the Operations function.

Reporting to the Production and Admin Manager, you will work closely with local site transport and warehouse teams to ensure delivery of a range of general administration duties using SAP, Microsoft Office and hard copy files.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure administrative tasks are completed satisfactorily
  • Conduct yearly appraisals, authorise annual leave requests and manage sickness processes (including ADP)
  • Ensure invoices are processed within agreed timescales
  • To support and maintain a good relationship between departmental personnel
  • Liaise with business teams
  • Recommend ways in which the company can improve profitability and operating effectiveness
  • Ensure effective control of stock and take an active role in the end of year stock count
  • Assist in recruiting and selecting suitable staff
  • Ensure that new personnel receive appropriate induction training
  • Regularly review staff performance against agreed objectives
  • On an ongoing basis to identify and implement staff training requirements
  • To investigate and resolve customer complaints
  • Co-operate on all matters concerned with Health, Safety, Training, Legislation and the Environment
  • Report accidents, incidents and near misses to the relevant staff


You will also be required to:

  • Prioritise your workload effectively
  • Continuously review all activities adopting a “can do” and proactive approach
  • Be compliant with all legislative and statutory requirements


We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be able to work well within the Widnes Team. It is essential that you are self-motivated, focused, flexible, numerate, possess excellent organisational skills along with strong IT skills.

This role is for a highly motivated individual, ideally with experience of administrative tasks. You will strive for accuracy of information and be capable of working on your own initiative in what will be a key role to the efficient operation of our Widnes site.
