Role Purpose
As a Junior Digital Content Designer, you will play a key role in creating high-quality digital assets for Superdrug.com, with a focus on website banners, healthcare service pages, and trading campaign visuals. Reporting to the Design Manager within the UX & Optimisation Team, you will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, collaborating with UX, Trading, and Marketing teams to deliver engaging and on-brand designs.
This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented designer with a passion for digital design, eCommerce, and web technologies.
A Typical Day In This Role Includes
Designing website banners and promotional graphics for Superdrug.com, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
Maintaining and updating healthcare service pages using WordPress, HTML, and CSS to ensure accuracy, functionality, and visual appeal.
Supporting the Design team in fulfilling trading requests, including homepage updates, product promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI, Trading, and Marketing, to align design assets with business goals.
Ensuring mobile-first design principles and accessibility best practices are applied across all assets.
Keeping up with digital design trends to enhance user engagement and website performance.

You have a passion for digital design and thrive in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.
You have a strong eye for layout, typography, and colour, ensuring visually compelling assets.
You are proficient in design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator, with basic/good HTML & CSS skills for web content management.
You have experience using WordPress, with the ability to update and maintain web pages.
You are a team player, collaborating effectively across departments while managing your own projects.
You have strong attention to detail and can work efficiently to meet deadlines.
What You’ll Need
Degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in digital design, preferably in eCommerce, retail, or a related field.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and WordPress, with a working knowledge of HTML & CSS.
Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and their application in web design.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Advantageous Skills
Video editing and motion graphics skills using After Effects.
Experience with animation and interactive content design.
Familiarity with A/B testing tools and performance optimization strategies.
