Happy Days Nursery in Falmouth is expanding its provision to offer more childcare spaces for our local community and we are seeking a Level 3 qualified Room Supervisor join our team.

As Room Supervisor you will play a vital role in helping us inspire the future for our children, by offering them the very best care and education using our unique curriculum “Where Children Shine” you will also support your room-based colleagues, overseeing the day to day running of your allocated nursery room.

Your roles and responsibilities as Room Supervisor would include –

Performance

  • Embodying our SHINE values (Support, Honesty, Inspiration, Nurturing and Empowerment) in everything you do
  • Supporting the effective running on the nursery by being organised, and have the ability to plan and prioritise your work
  • Being positive, confident and honest
  • Having great initiative and a “can do” attitude
  • Knowing and upholding our policies, procedures and established working practices
  • Holding a recognised level 3 qualification in childcare
  • Supporting, mentoring and coaching colleagues, through induction, supervision and appraisal

Outstanding Childcare

  • Being a “key person” for a group of children, ensuring that their care and development needs are being met at all times
  • Using our unique “Where Children Shine” curriculum to observe, plan and assess children’s learning opportunities
  • Understanding and implementing safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirement policies and practices
  • Leading the quality delivery in your allocated room

Working With Others

  • Be a dedicated team player, and valuing the experience and skills of your colleagues
  • Continually striving to work together to deliver the very best care and education for the children
  • Supporting colleagues with empathy and care
  • Acting as mentor to apprentices and other colleagues
