We are seeking passionate and nurturing Nursery Assistants to join our partner nurseries and schools in Burgess Hill. This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of young children in a vibrant, supportive, and stimulating environment that promotes their growth and well:being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the smooth daily operations of the nursery, including play activities, learning sessions, and meal routines.
  • Help deliver and plan activities that support childrens physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all children under your care.
  • Build strong relationships with the children, fostering their independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with nursery staff to create a positive, inclusive environment.
  • Assist in keeping the nursery clean and organised, contributing to a healthy and welcoming space.
  • Track childrens progress and share updates with parents and carers regarding their development.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years environment is highly preferred.
  • A compassionate, patient, and supportive attitude toward children.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is a plus.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3) are advantageous but not required.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting childrens well:being.
