At Happy Days we have over thirty years of expert experience and an ethos to support children to become strong and motivated learners for life. We pride ourselves on providing a service to enable parents to work and live their daily lives knowing their children are cherished and cared for to the highest standard by our dedicated team of professional childcare colleagues.
We are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for providing quality childcare, so if you have an enthusiasm and passion for working in childcare whilst gaining a DfE recognised Early Years qualification, then this is the opportunity for you!
What Will You Be Doing
As a nursery apprentice you will be mentored and supported through a level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification, whilst working alongside our staff team to create a safe and stimulating environment for our children, in line with our bespoke curriculum and EYFS framework.
You will learn as you progress your career, using your passion for providing quality experiences for children to build upon your knowledge and understanding of child development, safeguarding, health and well-being and beyond!
At Happy Days we partner with ‘Realise’, a training provider delivering exciting early years apprenticeships to aspiring early years practitioners. You will work with your assigned tutor to progress through a comprehensive programme of learning, with support such as 1-2-1 meetings, group webinars and observations to support you along the way.
Sounding exciting? Perhaps it’s time to take steps to joining the Happy Days team…
Who We’re Looking For
As an Early Years Apprentice, you will be committed to entering a career in childcare and completing the qualifications needed to achieve this. You will have an ability to interact with young children and have a basic understanding of how a child develops and how to spark their interest in play.
An apprenticeship requires a balance between home study and working within the nursery environment, therefore you will have an ability to plan your time effectively to ensure your apprenticeship is completed in a timely manner and to the best of your ability.
We encourage our learners to ask for help and guidance, listen to coaching and mentoring and carry out tasks given by the staff team, so the successful candidate would do this with a real sense of enthusiasm and passion for making a difference.
Safeguarding our children will be of utmost importance to you, and you will ensure that all children are always kept safe by working closely with the staff team around you.
You will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including not just our children but the staff team and families, in a polite and friendly manner. If you are hardworking, self-disciplined, have a friendly nature and positive outlook we would love to hear from you.
What We Can Offer You

- Training through a recognised training provider
- 50% Childcare Discount
