The Nursing Associate will be responsible for delivering high quality, patient centered, compassionate care for babies and their families during their neonatal journey, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
The Nursing Associate will be an accountable professional who will carry out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction of a registered nurse. With the ability to work without direct supervision, delivering care independently in line with the individual’s defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed.
The post holder will demonstrate a level of underpinning knowledge to practice and educated to foundation degree level. The post holder will support the registered nurses, medical staff and allied health professionals within the clinical environment. The role is flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the care setting, and it is expected that the responsibilities will be developed, and be agreed as services evolve.
