Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team at Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS). In this pivotal role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of innovative new products—from initial concept through to successful commercial launch.
You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle with precision and purpose, ensuring alignment with WMFTS’s standard processes and delivering on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a dynamic opportunity that requires strong project leadership, a deep understanding of product development, and the ability to drive collaboration across cross-functional and international teams.
As part of the Project Management Office, you may be deployed across a range of strategic projects within the WMFTS Group. While the role can be remote within the UK, it will require periodic on-site presence and travel to key locations across the UK and Europe—including Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate Projects: Assess feasibility, define scope, develop budgets, and allocate resources to effectively launch new initiatives.
- Define and Manage Projects: Create comprehensive project plans, incorporating stakeholder input, timelines, and budgets to guide products from concept to market launch.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams—including engineering, product management, marketing, supply chain, and other business units—to deliver project outcomes efficiently.
- Ensure Timely Execution: Monitor and manage project milestones to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Build Organisational Capability: Contribute to the continuous improvement of NPI processes, tools, and team capabilities across the organisation.
- Drive Manufacturing Readiness: Ensure alignment with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles, and support tooling, validation, and production ramp-up.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges and maintain project momentum.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all project activities meet regulatory, quality, and documentation standards.
- Proven expertise in project management, particularly in new product development and introduction.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to define, manage, and deliver complex, cross-functional projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration across multidisciplinary and international teams.
- A results-driven mindset, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
- Proactive problem-solving and risk management abilities, with the confidence to navigate challenges and maintain momentum.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- A recognised project management qualification, ideally APM, PMP, or equivalent.
