We seek Trustees who can think creatively and strategically, with effective communication skills and personal skills and qualities shown below.
What difference will you make?
What we are looking for
We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our board.
You do not need previous governance experience – we will provide a full induction and training.
As a small charity, Oxford Wood Recycling will at times require trustees to be actively involved beyond Board meetings. This may involve scrutinising board papers, leading discussions, focusing on key issues, providing advice and guidance on new initiatives, presenting externally, or other issues in which the trustee has special expertise.
What are we looking for?
Personal skills and qualities
We are particularly seeking Trustees with the following skills and interests, who believe that they can offer these to the Board and newly appointed Executive Team
Oxford Wood Recycling is a social enterprise with a dual mission to increase the sustainable use of wood, and to improve the employability of those who face barriers to working.
Our board of trustees ensure that Oxford Wood Recycling has a clear strategy for achieving its core purposes, and that our work and goals are in line with our vision. Just as importantly, they support and challenge the executive team to enable Oxford Wood Recycling to grow and thrive. They also oversee the overall management and administration of the charity.
Board members have a collective responsibility. This means that trustees always act as a group and not as individuals.
