We are currently looking to recruit a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join us!
As a first point of contact, you will provide a customer focused housing management service within a designated neighbourhood. The work undertaken will meet the aims and objectives of Stockport Homes and achieve our mission to transform lives.
As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you must be confident in order to enforce tenancy conditions and challenge behaviours using various tools and powers at your disposal. This will require excellent organisational and problem solving skills, a high level of resilience, the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision and excellent interpersonal and communications skills to work with partners and colleagues to jointly tackle issues.
With excellent customer care skills and a commitment to making a difference to the neighbourhoods you will manage, you must be capable of working positively and enthusiastically in sometimes challenging circumstances and have an interest in Housing law relating to the management of Social Housing.
With good problem solving skills and the ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team, you must be able to use a wide range of IT packages to manage tenancy details and case work and be willing to deal with different types of workloads and problems. Due to the nature of the role, a valid current driving licence and access to a car is essential.
