Walker Sime
NEC Project Manager
Buildings Sectors
Liverpool (Hybrid)
Ready to Step Up or Already Flying?
We’re looking for a confident NEC-savvy Project Manager who’s either ready to make the leap into Senior PM territory or someone new to the SPM level who’s already starting to stretch into that space. If you're hands-on, proactive, and know how to drive a project forward—this one’s for you.
You’ll be part of a close-knit, energetic team at Walker Sime, delivering ambitious large-scale regeneration project in a central urban location, bringing forward a mix of residential, commercial and public realm spaces that will transform a key part of the city. In parallel, you’ll also be involved in a major waterfront development, helping to create a vibrant new neighbourhood with strong connections to green space, heritage, and the wider community.
Both schemes are multi-phase, long-term programmes focused on placemaking, sustainability, and delivering meaningful social and economic value.
This is a great opportunity for someone with an infrastructure background who’s looking to step across into the building side of things. It offers the chance to broaden your experience on a high-profile scheme while continuing to build on your core skills.
What You'll Need
You’re a strong communicator, great with people, and thrive when you’ve got responsibility and space to lead. You’ve got the NEC experience and the confidence to handle the pace. And you’re looking for a place where you can truly take ownership of your role and make your mark.
Sound like a fit?
We’d love to hear from you. Send us your CV or drop us a message for a quick chat. Even if you’re not 100% on all the boxes, if you’re close and the role sounds like your kind of challenge—get in touch.

What You'll Need
- Solid NEC know-how – NEC3 or NEC4 contract administration experience
- Ideally NEC accredited – if not, we’ll support you to get there
- Confident with Option A contracts (ideally); Option C or D experience is also a win
- Able to lead from the front – chairing meetings, managing actions, running early warning, risk reduction meetings and keeping momentum high
- Experience handling complex stakeholder conversations and navigating challenges with professionalism
- Experience working in the public sector or with local authorities is a bonus
- Leading on live projects
- Contract administration and client interface from pre-construction through delivery
- Chairing and driving forward key meetings and programme deliverables
- Working closely with contractors and clients from early negotiation through to delivery
- Owning responsibility across project lifecycles—from contract administration to change management
- A real opportunity to grow your career at a respected consultancy that values people, not just process
- Mentoring, NEC training (if needed), and clear promotion pathways
- Friendly and supportive team culture
- Involvement in exciting infrastructure and regeneration projects that make a genuine difference to local communities
