Job Purpose

The National Access Manager is responsible for unlocking local barriers that may be impacting access to ViiV medicines.

This role will primarily involve the development and delivery of partnership solutions with customers, alongside engagement with Integrated Care System (ICS) bodies and other, payer- and service delivery-influencing stakeholders, to ensure that the innovation of ViiV’s HIV portfolio is recognised and full access made available.

Accountable for supporting development of partnership projects, development of a national partnership field plan and execution of partnership activities, as developed by the Partnership Manager, working closely with MSTs to ensure alignment and cohesive working.

Accountable for the development and execution of high-quality national access field plan, to include engagement plans for all target stakeholder groups, with clear alignment to local account plans, in particular priority accounts.

This role is a mixture of both in-office development and project management activities and in-field customer execution, so will suit an individual with experience of both project management/solution development and field engagement. This role anticipates 10-30% in-person time in field (plus additional virtual field engagement).

Please note this role is a 12-month secondment/fixed term contract.

In this role you will

  • Partnership projects
    • Assess the need for bespoke Patient Support Programmes (PSPs) and partnership projects, to address local barrier to uptake of ViiV products.

    • Support MSTs in conducting initial account engagement. Subsequently lead customer engagement in eligibility and setup activities.
    • Working with the Partnership Manager, manage the in-house development of partnership projects and maintenance of existing projects.
    • Progress partnership projects through review and approval through appropriate (e.g. legal, compliance, safety, privacy) channels as required by ABPI, GSK/ViiV and other policies.

  • Access stakeholder engagement
    • Develop strong relationships with key access stakeholders across the UK of relevance to ViiV’s business, including ICSs, Clinical Reference Groups (CRG), Fast Track Cities (FTCs), other commissioning stakeholders.
    • Maintain and execute a strong national access plan, incorporating a clear and high-quality engagement plan for all target stakeholder groups and the deployment of specific tactics as part of this, to support the innovation and uptake of the ViiV portfolio.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders as part of the development and implementation of the plan, to ensure alignment and cohesive working with overlapping and/or aligned stakeholders. Roles include Policy Director and the local MSTs.
    • Expected to have a good understanding of the business across the territories, using strong business acumen to inform prioritisation of national access plan.
